OMG, my cashier at CVS was a rebel!!!
I stopped there on the way home because Q called to ask if I could pick up some “OFF,” since he’s studying outside and getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Anyway, I chose CVS because I had a coupon for $5.00 of a $25.00 purchase coupon, and I also needed sunscreen, so I figured I’d spend enough to be able to use it. I picked up a couple of other things while I was there. Anyway, the lady started ringing up my purchases, and I handed her my coupon. She scanned it, and then I found another one for Neutrogena cosmetics, so I thought I’d try it on the Neutrogena face sunscreen I was getting. But then I decided that it wouldn’t work, and went to put it back in my purse. She stopped me, and said to try it, that what’s on the coupons doesn’t matter, and scanned it anyway, giving me a $2.00 savings. She then asked if I had any more (and I did…23.00 worth)! She scanned them all, and what would have cost me around $53.00, ended up costing me only $30.00. I can’t believe it. I felt a little bad for exploiting the system, but then I decided that CVS has exploited me for years with high prices in exchange for convenience, so NBD.
