Q and I made the decision on our first anniversary, that we’d be dorks and go by the traditional gift list each year. Last year, the gift was paper. We had just spent a lot of money on other people’s weddings, so we decided to go cheap. We stayed in, ate our favorite takeout, and painted pictures of each other. This turned out to be more difficult than it sounded at first. Anyway, here are the pictures. Q cheated a little and used a picture of me fake rocking to a terrible original country band (taken about 4 years ago), which is not my favorite picture, but anyway, it came out looking more real life than mine, which since I can’t draw, looks like a bad caricature from the French Quarter (but, I still think it’s awesome)!

Update: now that I look at it on my page, I feel that my painting is so accurate, it might blow his anonymity!
