Boston’s Old City Hall. I pass this everyday. I love this building.
I love it too. I fell in love with Boston (architecturally) when I visited for my brother’s college graduation, then again a few years later, when I went back just for fun. It was refreshing to see a place where almost all of the buildings were old, interesting, and beautiful (even CVS)!
I love living in Louisiana because of my family (and the food), but that’s about it. The worst thing about Baton Rouge is that is was not well planned (or planned at all) and it’s completely spread out and ridiculous. There are new and horrible-looking strip malls thrown together every day, and all of the new neighborhood developments lack character in a depressing way. The houses inside almost always look exactly the same (down to the landscaping and the mailboxes). That’s not to say that there are no attractive neighborhoods in BR, there are. Old Baton Rouge is really nice, and the houses are pretty. I just wish the people building homes now cared about building homes our children will respect in the future.
